Travis Gottlob, 45, Killed in Goleta Pedestrian Accident;

Kyler Tanowitz, age 23, was driving a Mazda Miata.

Goleta, CA, November 18, 2020 — Travis Gottlob has been identified by authorities as the victim in a pedestrian collision that occurred on November 13 in Goleta. Travis Gottlob , a 45-year-old resident of Santa Barbara was walking on Cathedral Oaks Road between Glen Annie Road and Los Carneros Road at roughly 8:30 p.m when he was struck by a Mazda Miata being driven by 23-year-old Kyler Tanowitz, a Goleta resident. First-responders arrived at the scene but Travis Gottlob died at the scene. Reports say the young man remained at the scene and cooperated with police. The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the tragic collision and is seeking out witnesses.
