Timothy Sonnenburg, 66, has been identified by authorities as the victim in a motorcycle collision involving multiple vehicles that took place in Chico on February 19. Mr. Sonnenburg’s motorcycle was one of a number of vehicles that collided on Forest Avenue near the intersection with Amanda Way at some point after 4:00 p.m. The cause of the accident is believed to be an older driver who experienced some sort of medical condition and began travelling in the wrong direct. The victim was taken to an area hospital but died shortly afterwards. Chico police are investigating the tragic mishap and seeking out witnesses.
