Tessie Nicole Odom, 36, has been identified by authorities as the victim in a pedestrian collision that occurred in Sonora on February 15. Ms. Odom stepped onto the eastbound SR-108. She was struck by a Chrysler 200, driven by Timothy Hollis, a 21-year-old Sonora resident. The impact of the collision threw Ms. Odom into the path of a second vehicle, a Ford F-350 pickup, that was driven by Glenn Gray, a 28-year-old resident of Chinese Camp. Both Mr. Gray and Mr. Hollis remained at the scene. The incident is reportedly being investigated to see if mind-altering substances played a role in the tragedy.

We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the deceased during this difficult time.
