Tamara Manukyan has been identified by authorities as the deceased in an automotive collision that took place in Mission Hills on December 26. Ms. Manukyan, a 63-year-old Glendale resident, was a passenger in a Toyota being driven by a 39-year-old woman that overturned while attempting to merge on to the 405 Freeway from the 118 Freeway at roughly 7:00 a.m. on the 118 Freeway. The Toyota then ran into a Dodge auto and may have knocked down a power pole. The deceased was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, authorities say. Both the driver of the Dodge, described as a male resident of San Fernando, and the driver of the Toyota were wearing seatbelts and were not physically harmed in the crash. The tragic mishap remains under investigation.
