Tabitha Leslie  has identified by authorities as the deceased in an auto vs. semi truck  collision that occurred on October 24 in Tulare County. Ms. Leslie, a 35-year-old Modesto resident, was driving a Lexus on Akers Street near Avenue 272 when she apparently moved into the path of big-rig heading in the opposite direction on Akers Street and the vehicles collided head on, killing Ms. Leslie. Authorities believe that the driver of the truck, 25-year-old Visalia resident David Jones did not have time to avoid the accident. Modesto police had been looking for Ms. Leslie, who they believe had shot and killed an assailiant in self-defense. She was not wanted for a crime.

We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the deceased during this difficult time.
