Shawn Crouch, a 46-year-old Lake Elsinore resident, has been identified by authorities as the victim in a an alleged hit-and-run pedestrian collision that took place on December 20 in Lakeland Village. Mr. Lopez was standing on the shoulder of Grand Avenue near the intersection with Sangston Drive at about 9:15 p.m. when he was struck by an unidentified vehicle. First responders took him to the hospital where he passed away from his injuries the following day.  The driver reportedly fled the scene and is being sought by the California Highway Patrol while the tragic incident is being investigated.
