Serena Ferrel and Raul Hinojosa Sr. have been identified by authorities as the victims in a solo vehicle accident that occurred during the late afternoon of October 11. The pair were inside a 1998 Ford Explorer on Highway 99. The vehicle apparently veered off through two lanes before driving off the road and into a tree, killing both occupants.  The California Highway Patrol is investigating the collision and looking for possible witnesses who may offer some information about the cause of the incident. Ms. Ferrel was 25 years-old; Mr. Hinojosa was 56.

We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and families of the victims during this difficult time.
