Sadie Martin has been identified by authorities as the victim in a pedestrian collision that occurred on March 21 in Marysville. Ms. Martin, a 19-year-old Loma Rica resident, was pushing her car, an older model Honda, on Loma Rica Road prior to 8:00 p.m. At roughly the same time, a Chrysler vehicle driven by an unnamed 20-year-old male was driving at about 65 mph according to authorities, who add that it was an unsafe speed in the situation. The result was that the young woman was struck and died at the scene, authorities say. The driver of the Chrysler did, however, stop at the scene and cooperate with authorities. The tragic mishap remains under investigation.

We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the victim during this difficult time.
