Rosario Montalvo has been identified by authorities as the deceased in a two-automobile collision that occurred on July 29 in Centerville. Ms. Montalvo, 47, was a passenger in a Ford Explorer on Highway 180 being driven by Jose Sandoval, 58, Ysenia Montalvo, 21, and Jose Sandoval, Jr., 25, all residents of Fresno. At some time prior to 12:45 p.m., a Ford Trailblazer allegedly changed lanes into oncoming traffic, colliding with the Explorer. The elder Ms. Montalvo died from her injuries with the other occupants were taken to an area hospital. Also injured and taken for treatment was the driver of the Trailblazer, Jose Martinez. He was placed under arrest for driving under the influence, reports the California Highway Patrol.
