Robert Fellows has been identified by authorities as the primary victim in a fatal collision on October 2 that occurred prior to 3:30 p.m. Mr. Fellows, a Discovery Bay resident, and his wife were traveling on Chestnut Street in their Toyota Tacoma when it collided with a passing Ford Explorer, trapping Mr. Fellows inside the vehicle, who later died from his injuries. Mr. Fellows’ wife was taken to Walnut Creek’s John Muir Medical Center, as well as the 25 year-old driver of the Ford. While a DUI is currently not suspected, the incident is being investigated.
