Richard Lorge has been identified by authorities the deceased in a two-vehicle collision that occurred on July 29 in Joshua Tree. Mr. Lorge, a 77-year-old Twentynine Palms resident, was driving a Toyota pick up truck at the same time as Bronson White, 62 and also a Twentynine Palms resident, was driving an early 2000s Ford Thunderbird on State Route 62. Prior to 10:45 a.m. At that time the Thunderbird apparently went out of control and crossed into lanes in front of Mr. Lorge’s pickup. Mr. Lorge was taken to an area medical center and then airlifted to another one where passed away from his injuries the next day. Meanwhile, Mr. White was seriously injured. The California Highway Patrol in Morongo is investigating the tragic mishap.
