Olivia Enriquez West, 59, and her husband of 25 years, Leland West, have been identified by authorities as the deceased in an alleged hit-and-run accident that occurred on April 12 in Sun Valley. The Sun Valley residents were driving in their 1998 Toyota Corolla and turning left onto Lankershim Boulevard from San Fernando Road when a Dodge Charger, described as being of a dark color, collided with them. Authorities allege that the Dodge Charger was racing another car, a white Dodge, driven by a female. Police charge that, after the accident, the male driver of the Charger left the scene. The man is being sought in connection with the hit-and-run fatalities. The young woman, 25, in the white Dodge and two other passengers were taken to area hospitals.
We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the deceased during this difficult time.
