Nick Roman, a 19-year-old resident of Bloomington, has been identified by authorities as the deceased in a two-car collision that occurred on August 3 in San Bernardino County. Mr. Roman was driving a Kia Soul on the 15 Freeway in the Cajon Pass prior to 11:30 p.m., when his vehicle struck a Toyota sedan in front of him. The force of the collision caused the Soul to go off the road into an embankment. The young man perished at the scene. There were no other injuries. The California Highway Patrol is seeking witnesses.

We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the victim during this difficult time.
