Nai Wen Fan has been identified by authorities as the victim in a pedestrian collision that took place in Harbor City on December 9. Mr. Fan, a 69-year-old local resident, was attempting to cross Vermont Avenue near Pacific Coast Highway sometime after 6:30 p.m. when he was hit by a vehicle. Although authorities found Mr. Fan’s body, the police are not alleging hit-and-run. The tragic incident is being investigated by the California Highway Patrol.
