Joseph Lopez, 19, Eliesel Rivera, 19, and Michelle Roman, 18, have been identified by authorities as the deceased victims in a solo collision involving a Chevrolet pickup truck that occurred on March 13 in Sorrento Valley. The driver, an 18-year-old female who has not been named, was allegedly driving at a very hight rate of speed on Camino Santa Fe at roughly 9:45 p.m. when the pickup went out of control, went off the road and over a center island, crashing into a tree. Roman, Rivera, and Lopez died at the scene while the driver was taken to an area burn center by first-responders with severe injuries. The case remains under investigation.
