Michael Watkins has been named as the victim by authorities in the wake of a pedestrian collision that occurred during the very early morning of October 21. Mr. Watkins was apparently walking on the side of Buchanan Road before the event. Pittsburg police say that they believe a red Ford F-1 pickup was with a sunroof may have fatally collided with Mr. Watkins, and apparently failed to stop and provide aid or contact authorities. First responders arrived, but Mr. Watkins perished at the scene. The accident is under investigation and police are seeking out witnesses. Michael Watkins, a resident of Antioch, was 35 years-old.
