Michael Andre Hunley has been identified by authorities as the victim in an alleged DUI bicycle accident that occurred July 19 in Bakersfield. Mr. Hunley, whose age has not been provided was riding a bicycle on Chester Avenue prior to 9:30 p.m. when he was struck by a car travelling southward in the 1200 block area. The driver, who authorities may have been speeding, continued to drive and fled the scene. Meanwhile, the unfortunate bicyclist died at the scene. The Bakersfield Police Department in investigation the tragedy and seeking out witnesses. They are also on the lookout for an older model sedan with some front-end damage.
