Michael Arellanes has been identified by authorities as the deceased in an accident involving a tanker trailer truck that occurred in San Jacinto on April 5. Mr. Arellanes, a 30-year-old Ontario resident, was driving an Acura with two passengers inside prior to 5:40 a.m. on Ramona Expressway when the car stopped for reasons that have not been provided. A tanker truck carrying fuel then crashed into the rear-end of the car. The driver tragically died at the scene while the two passengers received non-life-threatening injuries. It is possible the driver of the truck may also have been injured.
We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the deceased during this difficult time.
