Marylne Vidales, 19, has been identified by authorities as the victim in a suspected DUI collision that occurred on March 10 in Los Banos. Ms. Vidales was apparently a passenger in a Dodge Challenger being driven by a 21-year male, Ivan Andrade. The Dodge was being driven on Pacheco Boulevard at approximately 3:45 a.m. when the sports car hit a Nissan Pathfinder that was travelling in the opposite direction, reportedly cutting the SUV in half. Ms. Vidales reportedly died at the scene from her injuries. The occupants of the Pathfinder were also seriously injured and were hospitalized. Authorities suspect a DUI and also allege that excessive speed was a factor, and Mr. Andrade is expected to be charged while the investigation continues, authorities say.

We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and families of the victim during this difficult time.
