Mario Ramon Chavez Arredondo, 21, has been identified by authorities as the deceased in a traffic collision that occurred on May 2 in San Jose. Mr. Arredondo was driving a Chevrolet Impala on the Interstate 280 at about 1:40 p.m. with one passenger. The car veered off the road, hitting a guardrail, reportedly causing the car to spin out. The driver was removed from the car but died at the scene. Meanwhile, the passenger apparently survived the accident with serious injuries and was taken for treatment by first responders. The tragic case remains under investigation.
