Mai Le has been identified by authorities as the victim in a pedestrian collision that took place in the Talmadge neighborhood of San Diego on November 18. Ms. Le, age 66, was reportedly crossing El Cajon Boulevard and 46th Street at roughly 5:00 p.m. when she was struck by a Lexus SUV. First responders had to free the woman from underneath the vehicle before rushing her to Scripps Mercy Hospital, where she passed away. The driver of the SUV, a 79-year-old male, remained at the scene and was cooperative, authorities say. An investigation is ongoing.
