Luis Rabanal has been identified by authorities as the deceased in a solo collision that occurred on May 23 in San Ramon. Mr. Rabanal, a 40-year-old Concord resident, was on the Interstate 680 Freeway at about 8:00 p.m. driving an older model GMC Yukon SUV when he apparently veered off the road and collided with a tree. It appears the man may have been trapped in the vehicle but, despite being removed by first-responders, her perished from his injuries at the scene. The Dublin brand of the California Highway Patrol is investigating the tragic incident.
