Lawrence Washington and Teruyo Washington have been identified by authorities as the deceased in an two car collision that occurred in Camarillo on July 11. The two local, age 76 and 71 respectively, were riding in ten-year-old Honda sedan on Las Posas Road with Teruyo Washington at the wheel. Both driver and passenger were reportedly wearing seatbelts. At some point prior to 7:50 p.m. a Dodge Challenger at the intersection with Laguna Road reportedly went through a stop sign, colliding with the Honda containing the Washingtons. The car reportedly fell into a nearby ditch and overturned, killing both men. The Challenger had three passengers, though it is not known at this time who was driving. Two names have been givine out: 21-year-old Anthony Zaragosa and 23-year-old Juan Llamos, both Oxnard residents. A third individual declined medical treatment while the other two were taken to an area hospital with what were described as minor injuries. The tragic accident is being investigated.
