Latonia Williams has been identified by authorities as the victim in a Long Beach pedestrian collision that occurred on May 20. Ms. Williams, a 44-year-old local resident, was reportedly not in the crosswalk where 25 Street and Pacific Avenue intersect when she was struck by a car and perhaps additional vehicles, dying at the scene. The primary vehicle involved, authorities allege, continued driving without stopping. Two individuals were later located and arrested when the car was found on Long Beach Boulevard.

We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the victim during this difficult time.
