Kevin Lentz has been identified by authorities as the victim in an alleged hit-and-run bicycle collision that took place on November 23 in Escondido. Jamison Connor has been charged a week following the incident. Mr. Lentz, a 36-year-old resident of Vista, was riding a bicycle on La Honda Drive in the company of others when he was struck by a car driven by Jamison Connor, 41. Reports say the man was killed instantly and the car nearly struck a second bicyclist. Mr. Connor allegedly fled the scene in the Toyota he was driving but was located by police the following week. While charges related to the accident are pending an investigation, the man was arrested on a parole warrant alleging a number of other charges. Mr. Lentz, the victim, was married and the father of a 1-year-old.
