Kenneth Clingman has been identified by authorities as the victim in a pedestrian accident involving a big-rig truck that occurred on June 26 in Temescal Valley. Prior to 5:30 p.m. Mr. Clingman, a 78-year-old Corona resident driving a Toyota Tacome, apparently stopped alongside a big-rig truck that had pulled over for a rest stop on a dirt road beside Temescal Canyon Road. Mr. Clingman reportedly stood in front of the truck. The driver of the truck apparently did not see the man and ran him over, killing the man. Authorities say the driver stopped at the scene, called 911, and remained at the scene. Police are investigating the cause of the accident and are seeking out witnesses.

We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and families of the victim during this difficult time.
