Kendra Czekaj, age 12, has been identified by authorities as the victim in a tragic pedestrian collision that took place in Sacramento on January 15. The girl was a resident at the Children’s Receiving Home of Sacramento , which is described in its literature as refuge for minors who have been abused or neglected. The incident began prior to 10:00 p.m. when another resident, a 16-year-old female, was upset and running down the street.
