Katherine Elizabeth MacMahon has been identified by authorities as the victim in a possible hit-and-run pedestrian collision that occurred July 31 in Napa County. Ms. MacMahon, a 28-year-old Napa resident,  was crossing Highway 29 at Wine Country Avenue when she was struck by two and possibly several vehicles prior to 5:15 a.m.  Authorities say that a number of cars may have struck the woman and continued driving. Two drivers and a witness, however, stopped at the scene and reached out to authorities. A DUI is not suspected with any of the reporting drivers. Police are investigating the incident and seeking out witnesses.

We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the deceased during this difficult time.
