Joseph Denson has been identified by authorities as the deceased in an automotive collision that also badly injured Christian Hunt. Mr. Denson, a 32-year-old resident of Ukiah, was driving a Mercedes-Benz C250 eastward on Highway 20 at the same time Mr. Hunt, a 48-year-old Lakeport resident, was driving a Jeep Cherokee west at roughly 7:45 a.m. Mr. Denson reportedly veered into the other side of the wet road. The Jeep struck the Mercedes. Mr. Denson died at the scene from his injuries while Mr. Hunt was taken to an area hospital. The incident is being investigated.
