Johnnie Boone has been identified by authorities as the victim in a pedestrian collision that occurred on February 13 in Littlerock. Mr. Boone, a 59-year-old Palmdale resident, was crossing 94th Street East at the intersection with Avenue T prior to 1:40 a.m. when reports indicate he was struck by Chevrolet auto driven by Shilo Schopp, a 40-year-old resident of Littlerock who apparently did not see the victime. The victim reportedly hit the car’s windshield and went through it. Mr. Schopp, authorities say, stopped and helped. When first responders arrived, however, they were unable to save the victim. The driver suffered cuts from the glass and was taken for treatment. Authorities are investigating the tragic accident.
