Luiza Vaagnovna Karakhanyan and Joel David White have been identified by authorities as the deceased in a fiery auto crash that occurred in the Encino neighborhood of Los Angeles on May 15. Mr. White, 25, was driving a Lamborghini that he had borrowed for the car rental agency where he was employed. Ms. Karakhanyan, his 19-year-old girlfriend and a UCLA student, was his passenger. The LAPD has told reporters that, shortly before 7:30 p.m., the high-end sports car was traveling at a rate of over 100 mph on Burbank Boulevard when it collided with a Jeep Cherokee that was turning left on Havyenhurst. The sports car careened into a nearby tree. The force of the impact reportedly ripped the Lamborghini in half and to catch fire. Both young people died at the scene but the 36-year-old driver of the Jeep was not seriously injured. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the LAPD, as the investigation continues.

We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and families of the deceased during this difficult time.
