Jerrol Dodd has been identified by authorities as the deceased in a collision involving three vehicles that took place in Fairfield on November 13. Mr. Dodd, a 26-year-old resident of Reagan, Tennessee, was riding as a passenger in BMV SUV on the 680 Freeway that was being driven by Kerri Occhipinti, a 52-year-old resident of Scranton, Pennsylvania. At about 6:30 p.m. the BMW vehicle was struck broadside by another SUV, a Honda CRV.  The Honda’s driver was Aileen Mamangun,  a 45-year-old Fairfield resident. The BMW, which reports indicate may have been trying to reenter traffic was then struck by a Dodge Ram pickup truck, driven by Alfred Paniccia, a 58-year-old local resident. The impact apparently caused Mr. Dodd to be ejected from the vehicle, killing him. While a DUI is currently not suspected, an investigation is underway and witnesses are being sought as authorities seek to determine the cause of the tragic accident.

We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the deceased during this difficult time.
