Jenna Hernan has been identified by authorities as the victim in a police-pursuit collision that occurred on September 12 in Desert Hot Springs. Ms. Herman, a 26-year-old Riverside resident, was driving a vehicle on Pierson Boulevard at the intersection with Palm Drive when her car was struck by an allegedly stolen and speeding vehicle that was fleeing a police pursuit.  The woman was taken by first responders to an area hospital where passed away from her injuries approximately 48-hours later. The suspect, who was allegedly armed, fled the vehicle after the collision but was quickly apprehended, suffering minor injuries.

We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the victim during this difficult time.
