Jared Intravia has been identified by authorities as the deceased in a multi-vehicle chain-reaction collision involving a large truck in a pedestrian auto accident that occurred in Lancaster on January 15. Mr. Intravia was reportedly driving his Honda Civic on Avenue E when bales of hay fell off of a tractor trailer after it veered towards the right. Four vehicles hit the hay bales. The other drivers reportedly sustained non-life-threatening injuries but the truck driver was uninjured. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident, though they have said that they do not suspect a DUI. Mr. Intravia was 32-years-old.

We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the deceased during this difficult time.
