Janie Flocchini and Nick Flocchini have been identified by authorities as the deceased in a crash believed to be related a DUI that took place in San Joaquin on November 6. The two people were in a Mercedes vehicle on Colorado Road in the vicinity of Sumner Avenue around 3:00 p.m. when it was struck from behind by a Honda allegedly driven by Silvia Gonzales. The force of the blow caused the Mercedes to veer into another lane where it was struck by a pickup truck, which cause it to become engulfed in flames. The couple died inside the burning car. The 38-year-old male in the pickup truck and a 1-year-old toddler where both taken to an area hospital for treatment. The California Highway Patrol charges that the Ms. Gonzales was under the influence of marijuana and an illegal drug and the individual has been arrested, reports indicate.
