Janice Kespohl, an 80-year-old Lake County resident, has been identified by authorities as the deceased in an automotive collision that took place in North County on Christmas, December 25. Cielo Alavezos, a 24-year-old Ukiah resident, was injured in the crash although the degree of seriousness has not been revealed.  Ms. Kespohl was reportedly driving a Hyundai on Highway 20 at around 5:30 p.m. when she apparently attempted a U-Turn just as the vehicle driven by Ms. Alavezos, was heading in the same direction, causing her vehicle to collide with the Hyundai. Ms. Kespohl died at the scene. The accident is being investigated.

We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the deceased during this very difficult time.
