James Raymond Fristoe, a 60-year-old Bieber resident, and Jeffrey Pettit, a 49-year-old Sonoma resident, has been identified by authorities as the two deceased in an apparent wrong-way head-on collsion car accident that occurred on June 19 in the vicinity of Sacramento International Airport on June 19. Prior to 12:45 a.m. Mr. Fristoe was driving a 1992 Honda Accord on the 5 Freeway heading south when he encountered Mr. Petit driving an early 2000s Subaru Outback in the wrong direction resulting in the deadly head on collision that killed both drivers. An unidentified 56-year-old female passenger was also seriously injured and taken to UC Davis Medical Center. The 5 Freeway heading south was closed for several hours.
