James Jobe Carpenter, 57, has been identified by authorities as the victim in a pedestrian accident, possibly involving a truck, that took place on November 19 close to the Lake Pillsbury. Mr. Carpenter was walking on Elk Mountain Road at approximately 3:00 in the afternoon when he struck says the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The grievously injured Mr. Carpenter was found by a passing motorist but died from his injuries. The CHP believes the victim was hit by a truck.  An investigation is currently underway.
