Harley Ferris has been identified by authorities as the deceased in a tragic collision that occurred on November 4 in Whittier; her father, Robert Ferris was severely injured. The accident occurred at roughly 5:30 p.m. when Mr. Ferris, 32, was walking his daughter across Santa Gertrudes Road, holding her hand. They were struck by a 2015 Lexus driven by William Hurlbut IV, 39. Reports indicate that they were not in the crosswalk at the time of the incident, but no other explanation has been given.
