Gary Davis has been identified by authorities as the deceased in a pedestrian accident and alleged hit-and-run that occurred in the Arden-Arcade area of Sacramento on October 25. Mr. Davis, a 61-year-old local resident of Sacramento, was crossing Howe Avenue at approximately 8:50 p.m. when he was struck by a automobile which did not stop at the scene. The victim perished at the scene. The California Highway Patrol is looking for the car, described as a sedan that is dark in color, perhaps a Cadillac CTS, with front-end damage. The CHP is investigating and seeking out witnesses.

We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the victim during this difficult time.
