Frederick Gleason has been identified by authorities as the deceased in a truck vs. car accident that occurred on March 2 in Merced County. Mr. Gleason, an 82-year-old resident of Stevinson, was driving his 2008 Lexus on Highway 165 when a Peterbilt semi milk truck came into onto the highway from Crane Avenue and the car struck the big rig. Mr. Gleason reportedly died at the scene. The driver of the truck, 43-year-old Turlock resident Aurelio Barajas-Zapien, was unhurt. The incident is being investigated by the California Highway Patrol (CHP)
