Emilee Ruiz has been identified by authorities as the victim in a pedestrian collision that occurred in Templeton on March 5. The 17-year-old Paso Robles resident was reportedly walking on the right hand shoulder of Highway 101 near an off-ramp shortly before 11:00 p.m. She was then struck by a Chevrolet Impala driven by Bruce Eddy, a 60-year-old Atascadero resident. The young woman perished from her injuries at the scene. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is investigating the tragedy.
