Emerson Quinonez Herrarte has been identified by authorities as the victim in a  motorcycle collision that occurred on March 29 in Danville. Mr. Herrarte, a 22-year-old Concord resident, reportedly was riding a 2004 Honda CBR motorcycle when he became involved in a collision with another vehicle on the 680 Freeway sometime after 8:00 p.m. It’s possible that he was struck after the collision and that resulted in the young man’s death. The motorists and a number of other individuals who may have witnessed the tragic accident stopped at the scene. The incident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol in Contra Costa County.
