Edwin Harshman has been identified by authorities as the victim in a pedestrian collision that occurred on October 6 in South Lake Tahoe. Mr. Harshman, a 78-year-old local resident, was reportedly crossing Lake Tahoe Boulevard at approximately 8:00 p.m. when he was hit by a black automobile. The man died at the scene. The driver of the car, Marlon Cruz, a 20-year-old resident of Idaho Falls, Idaho, allegedly fled the scene but also reportedly turned himself to South Lake Tahoe police. He has been charged with felony hit-and-run.
