Dennis Van Nguyen has been identified by authorities as the victim in an alleged DUI collision that occurred on March 23 in Long Beach. Mr. Van Nguyen, 64, was involved in a high-speed car accident that occurred at the intersection of Anaheim Street and Pacific Coast Highway and died at the scene from his injuries. Authorities allege that David Michael Garrison, a 38-year-old resident of Bellflower, was driving intoxicated and at high speed at the time of crash. Authorities say that Mr. Garrison was previously convicted of drunk driving in 2011 in the state of Minnesota and arrested the man on multiple charges, including murder.
