David Chow has been identified by authorities as the victim in a pedestrian collision that occurred on February 21 in San Francisco. Mr. Chow, an 80-year-old local resident, was struck by a vehicle prior to 8:30 a.m. near the intersection of Polk Street and O’Farrell Street in the Tenderloin. Reports indicate the vehicle was in the middle of a turn at the time. The man was taken to an area hospital but sadly died a few days later. The driver of the vehicle reportedly remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Mr. Chow’s passing was the first pedestrian death for the city in 2020.

We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the victim during this difficult time.
