Cory Wade has been identified by authorities as the victim in a pedestrian collision that took place in Coarsegold on January 13. Mr. Wade, a 32-year-old local resident, was reportedly struck by Toyota vehicle driven by  Dean H. Eckerson, a 55-year-old Vallejo resident. The tragic incident took place Highway 41 in the vicinity of Yosemite Springs Parkway prior to 6:00 p.m. It is being investigated by Madera County Sheriffs.
