Cornell Miller Jr., have been identified by authorities as the victim in an alleged DUI automotive collision that occurred on April 5 in Hercules. Mr. Miller, a 25-year-old local resident, was a passenger in a vehicle that collided with a tree in the vicinity of Sycamore Avenue and Tsushima Avenue at approximately 2:00 a.m. The car broke into flames but first responders were unable to rescue the young man. The driver, 28, was injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. Police say that they suspect that the man was drunk and are exploring criminal charges. An investigation is underway.
