Connie Clark, a 67-year-old Lemon Grove resident, has been identified by authorities as the deceased in an alleged hit-and-run DUI pedestrian collision that took place in Palm Springs on July 26; another woman – also 67 and from Lemon Grove – was apparently injured. Ms. Clark and the other woman  were using the crosswalk at Calle Encilia in front of an area casino prior to 8:00 p.m. when they were both hit by a vehicle described as a black sedan. Police allege that the driver fled the scene and did not stop to try and help. The suspect, Leroy Patrick Silva, 84, has been charged on multiple counts, including murder.
