Christopher Carnel has been identified by authorities as the victim in a motorcycle collision that occurred in Oxnard on October 4. Mr. Carnel, a 57-year-old Agoura Hills resident and a successful Hollywood stuntman and sometime actor, was riding his 1986 Harley Davidson on Hueneme Road prior to West Santa Barbara Street near Blanchard Avenue, at about 5:53 p.m. when he tried to pass a vehicle. The motorcycle overturned and struck the man as it caught on fire. The fire also involved a fruit stand on the side of the road.First responders took the man for emergency treatment but he died from his injuries at about 8:30 p.m. An investigation into the death of Mr. Carnel is ongoing.
